We have not chosen to make special children's socks, although our nieces and nephews sometimes wear ours in sizes 35-38. They like both the color and the function just as much as we do! But the decision is based on the fact that a pair of children's socks costs as much to produce as a pair of adult socks, and therefore we have not been able to have competitive prices for children's socks. If you are prepared to pay the same for children's socks as a pair of adult socks, please send us an email and we might change our mind!

Believe it or not, but a question we get quite often! The fact that our packaging looks the way it does is due to two different reasons. First and foremost, we protect the environment and think it is unnecessary to waste the earth's resources with more packaging than necessary. In addition to that, via knows that a more exclusive packaging can be really expensive for the end consumer. It can be as much as SEK 50-80 for a pair of socks! So the sum has become less paper-intensive packaging, a lower price but the same product quality. We think it's great!

The name Gococo has puzzled many over the years! We have heard lots of different variations on explanations for the name and attempts at pronunciation and must actually say that it is one of the charms of the name. It makes people stop and think! The name came about when we wanted a name that was a bit "outside the box" and a bit of a backlash to everything in the sports world that has "X", "Power" etc. in it. We wanted to be something different that felt more happy and fun! So it really has nothing to do with the fact that we come from Gothenburg and are good and happy :-) Regarding the pronunciation, we have decided to let it live freely! There is no right or wrong. As the Gothenburgers we are, we pronounce it ourselves as "GoKoKo" but many choose to pronounce it "GoooCooCoo", GoCoCoo" or "GoooKouKou". Kinda funny actually! So simply choose what suits you best.

An important question! The technology in Gococo's socks is completely natural and is sometimes called green technology. This means that the technology to obtain the sock's properties such as quick-drying and odor-eliminating is natural and no chemical treatments or added metal nanoparticles have been used as is otherwise common to achieve these properties. However, a lot of our socks, like most other functional garments, are knitted in polyester material which is unfortunately never a natural material. However, we use recycled polyester to the greatest extent possible. Since 2023, all 37.5® Technology material in the socks is completely biodegradable, which is completely unique!

All our yarns are Öko-tex certified and we use FSC certified paper in our packaging.

Support socks and compression socks are a tight fitting sock that increases blood circulation in the legs and thus counteracts swollen, tired and aching legs. The legs feel more energetic, more energetic and you simply have a little more stamina.

For a compression sock to work well, the sock must be properly graded. This means that it sits tighter, with a higher pressure, at the ankle and then releases upwards towards the knee. It must not sit too tightly at the end of the shaft, as the light can become stuck and then have a counteracting effect. Make sure your socks have a good rating before you buy them!

Yes, it is not easy to find the right way in the compression jungle, but we will help you! Gococo has a number of different compression products in its range. The main difference between them is that it is either a sock or a sleeve, as well as a difference in the compression pressure, which for compression is stated in mmHg.

The Compression model is the sock best suited for simpler activities and long days on your feet, flying and pregnant women.

The models named Superior have a higher pressure and fit tighter around the leg. These models are perfect when you train for longer hours, hard and regularly before a tougher challenge and want to be able to speed up recovery extra quickly during and between sessions.

However, we would like to comment that the feeling of compression against the leg is subjective and it is not always the hardest pressure that is the best for each specific individual.

Sleeves are simply socks without feet. A shaft with compression that gives you the opportunity to combine the benefits of compression with your favorite socks.

Gococo compression socks are sold in four different size ranges, Small, Medium, Large and Large+. The size is based on the circumference of the calf, where it is the thickest. As a rule, you should take the size you are within, but if you are at the lower end of a range, you can choose to go down a size to make the sock fit a little tighter and get more effect from the compression. That's completely okay! This also applies if you have narrow ankles.

The size of the foot plays a role to some extent, but the socks are very elastic in the foot and if your feet are within size 37-45, there is usually nothing wrong and you can buy the sock that fits your calf best. For men with feet larger than size 45, we have developed the Compression and Compression Wool socks in Large+. This size has a larger fort and slightly longer shaft but with the same calf measurement range as size L. No problem! We have the solution☺ If you are in the lower range, size S, but have large feet, it might be a good idea to choose a Compression Calf Sleeve Kit or Compression Calf Sleeve Superior Kit instead of a full sock. Then you can get the right size for the foot while getting the right compression over the calf.

In all of Gococo's products, the functional material 37.5® Technology polyester is placed in the foot. It's the gray part you see in the sole. That material makes you feel dry and comfortable around the foot, unlike other compression socks which are often made of nylon and in which you easily get a cold sweaty foot.

With a dry and quick-drying sock, you also minimize the risk of chafing and blisters when you're active, which means you can keep going for longer.

The 37.5® Technology polyester also has an odor-eliminating function, which means that you avoid unpleasant foot sweat odors. Great as it also saves your shoes!

Gococo has an odor control proven in tests. However, foot sweat smell and smell are very subjective values ​​and it is therefore difficult to determine how much or how little something smells. It is of course important that you wash your Gococo clothes after sweating in them just like you do with other garments. It is also through washing that the positive properties are reactivated and the pores are emptied of odor molecules. If you take care of your Gococo garment, we can guarantee that you have reduced your sweat smell in relation to if you had worn a garment without 37.5® Technology material.

Now it gets a bit technical but in short the active particles in the fibre attract moisture to the enormous surface area of ​​the micro-pores and absorb the body heat from the wearer. The body heat in combination with the particles means that the evaporation of the moisture is accelerated faster than with any other material on the market today. That is why you always have a dry and comfortable feeling in your feet when you use Gococo socks. The active particles also attract odor molecules which reduces the risk of foot sweat odor when you use Gococo socks.

Compression socks give you a fresher, fitter and lighter feeling in your legs when you are active. You simply delay the feeling of fatigue. And why does it happen? Yes, the compression in the socks helps to increase the blood circulation in the legs, which leads to waste products being transported away faster and the muscle being oxygenated faster. In this way, compression socks help your muscles to speed up recovery and you will feel fresher faster after the session and more energetic for the next session. If you are above or do not want to use compression during the activity itself, you can put on the socks or sleeves after the activity and thus still get the effect of an accelerated recovery.

Compression and support stockings are also important to use on a daily basis if you have problems with varicose veins, are pregnant, have to travel long distances or just generally spend long days on your feet.

Easy! Then you should choose the Compression model. With it, you have a comfortable and soft sock that sits comfortably all day. The functional material in the foot is the icing on the cake, which makes you feel both fresh and comfortable throughout the day or the trip.

No problem! We have the solution :-) If you are in the upper range, size L, but have small feet, it might be a good idea to choose a Compression Calf Sleeve Kit instead of a full sock. Then you can get the right size for the foot while getting the right compression over the calf.

How funny that you want to buy new compression socks from Gococo! If you were comfortable in the size you had before, you can find the answer to which is your size by looking at the color stripe on the inside of the shaft. The color stripe indicates the size of the sock as below:
Green = Small
Red = Medium
Blue = Large
Gray = L+
The size of the sock is also indicated by the colored stripe on the inside of the shaft.

The shaft of the compression stocking should be placed on the leg without folds and should end approx. 2.5 cm below the knee. If the shaft is too long, distribute it evenly over the calf and never fold down the upper edge of the shaft as this can create an incorrect pressure and impair the effect of the compression.

You can wash your socks at 40-60 degrees with normal detergent. As the socks are knitted in functional material, you should not use rinse or fabric softener as this impairs the function of the material. If you still happen to do it, there is no danger! Throw them in the wash again and it will be rinsed out.

Your socks will stay nice for a long time if you turn them inside out. Remember not to wash the socks together with coarser fibers such as terrycloth. It tears up fibers that are finer and then the socks become bumpy☺. A separate laundry bag is recommended in such cases.

If you want to tumble dry, that is of course fine. But the socks feel better hanging to dry and may shrink slightly in the dryer.
